In the Fall of 2010, I enrolled in the MD program at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in pursuit of a career in medicine. However, after a few years of study and a considerable amount of deliberation, I decided I would be more content if I were to change my vocational focus, and subsequently decided to pursue a career in Computer Science instead. After a permanent leave of absence from the MD program in 2015, I began to complete prerequisite CS courses in 2016 at Florida Atlantic University in order to qualify for the Masters in Computer Science (MSCS) program; I was accepted to the program in early 2017, and completed my degree in summer 2019.
